Privacy notice
This notice explains what we collect when you use this page, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
Mantel Portraits Ltd ("Mantel", "we") is the controller of your personal data. Our address is Suite 15a, Stone Cross Place, Warrington, WA3 2SH, United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email hello@mantelportraits.co.uk.
What we collect, and why

We don't use your photo for anything other than making your portrait. We never sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted providers, who handle your data only on our instructions:
- Vercel (Vercel Inc.) hosts this page and stores your photo and preview, in London.
- fal (Features & Labels, Inc.) runs the image processing that creates your preview from your photo.
- Upstash (Upstash, Inc.) keeps our waitlist and the daily preview counts.
- Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc.) sends our emails.
- Google Fonts (Google) supplies the typefaces on this page, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the international data transfer agreement.
How long we keep it
- Your photo and preview: for up to 12 months after you make them, so your invitation can include your portrait. If you order, we keep them for as long as we need to make, deliver and stand behind your print.
- Your email address and companion's name: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Daily preview counts linked to your IP address: one day.
Cookies
This page doesn't set cookies or use tracking tools.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. You can withdraw your consent to emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us. Email hello@mantelportraits.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
